Meet Holly and Ziggy

Meet Holly and Ziggy, 12 year old Terrier crosses, who are looking for a new home together. Both dogs have come into our care because the owner split up with her partner and moved to a place that doesn't allow dogs, her partner kept the dogs but he had to go into hospital and the dogs were left behind so the landlord took the dogs in and kept them in his garage.

They have been health checked, started vaccinations, been wormed, flead and micro-chipped. They both have very bad teeth and the male has a heart murmur-this is typical in old age. The vet said they are fine to have dentals and Ziggy will be castrated in due course.

Ziggy is the brown and white one and Holly is the black and white one and we believe she is spayed. We've been told Holly is 12 and Ziggy is 15 years old but we really do not believe they are, the video's will prove just how energetic and lively they are. We think there's been a mistake with the age and the reason they have bad teeth could be down to bad diet and lack of checkups.

This is a terrible tragedy for these dogs to come into rescue at their age, we hope to get them into foster home soon! We cannot separate them as they've been together their entire lives.

They are very friendly indeed, lovely dogs that don't even look or act their age. Typical of terriers in that they are very hardy and age well. Holly adores playing fetch and Ziggy just loves running around, both are really active and playful and seem fine with other dogs.

Of course, we know it won't be easy to rehome 2 dogs together but we know there is someone special out there for them who will give them a wonderful cosy retirement home!
